UBTech launches UV Light disinfection robots
The robots are powered by UV-C germicidal light.
Global AI and humanoid robotics company UBTech has introduced the newest addition to its suite of intelligent robots in the recently concluded International Consumer Electronics Show 2021.
The UV-C disinfection robot named ADIBOT is the contemporary solution offered by the company to make life smarter and safer.
UBTECH has turned the current global health crisis into an opportunity to utilise its technology and vertically integrated supply chain to bring a more cost-effective disinfection solution to the forefront in the fight against COVID-19 and other pathogens.
ADIBOT robots are powered by UV-C germicidal light, which inactivates the DNA and RNA structure of harmful pathogens that inhibit reproduction. Using the most effective UV-C wavelength of 253.7nm, ADIBOT robots are able to provide a disinfection rate up to 99.9%.
The robots are also transportable which might help businesses, organisations, and schools in safely reopening their establishments. With locking omni wheels, long extension cords, daisy chain capability for simultaneous, multiple robot usage, multiple cooling vents and included safety accessories, the ADIBOT-S model is the optimal solution for numerous disinfection needs.
UBTech is a China-based company known for designing and manufacturing humanoid robots. The company was not the first to launch a UV robot in CES 2021. Tech giant LG also announced that it is already developing its autonomous robot that will use ultraviolet light to disinfect high-touch and high-traffic areas.
